Business Development Manager – BDM

Location: Remote ( Texas & Eastern US )

Opportunity

TruMarx Data Partners, Inc. (“TDP”) is a global software company that facilitates the negotiation and execution of physical energy asset transactions.  TDP’s legacy marketplace, COMET, has over 250 member corporations and facilitates transactions across 17 asset classes. TDP is now addressing their customers and prospects’ need to decarbonize.  TDP has recently built and is distributing CG Hub, a cloud-based, Energy Transactions as a Service (ETaaS) software platform focused on certified gas. TDP is a technology start-up run by a veteran team that has built and exited other software companies.  We are looking to add Business Development Managers (“BDM”). Two positions are currently available. One in Texas, preferably the Houston area, and the second in our Eastern region.

Description

The BDM role is primarily a hunting role. The company is in the early stages of its growth, although enjoys strong historical relationships across the industry and new relationships specific to certified gas.  Our target prospects range from C-level individuals with responsibility for Sustainability, Environmental Assets and Risk Management to the Heads of Trading.  Your role will span the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, product demonstrations and sales documentation. TDP utilizes HubSpot as a CRM system to help you manage your business.

Requirements

The Texas position is preferably based in Houston, however anywhere in Texas would be considered. The second position would preferably be in the east time zone of the US.

The BDM position requires a process-oriented skill set. Previous experience in SaaS, enterprise business development and/or sales is an advantage. Strong computer and organizational skills, integrity and work ethic are required. TDP offers a flexible, remote work opportunity. Knowledge of energy markets, trading technology and/or developments in environmental markets is required. HubSpot or similar CRM experience is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and, by negotiation, can consist of a salary and/or draw, competitive benefits, aggressive incentive pay and stock options. The expenses related to your home office and Business Development efforts will be reimbursed.
