CG HUB CO₂e Calculator:

 

CG Hub is making it easier and faster to estimate the emissions impact of a proposed transaction in CO₂ equivalency with the introduction of the CG Hub Carbon Dioxide Calculator. This new feature provides the following benefit to each CG Hub transaction:

  • Compares the methane intensity for the volume of certified gas into the equivalent carbon dioxide value

  • Converts the methane intensity for that volume of gas, as if it were not certified

  • Calculates the reduction of equivalent CO₂ that would be realized if the transaction was executed

  • The calculations automatically update as changing terms get negotiated

  • Provides users some options to customize these calculations using firm-specific assumptions

  • The CO₂e values become a permanent part of the audit trail. They are available throughout the platform, can be included in push-button reports, or be exported via API to other systems as necessary
