Chicago – TruMarx Data Partners, Inc. has announced that it has appointed three new regional account managers to support the growing number of participants in the company’s COMET™(Community of Energy Transactors) electronic transaction platform for power and natural gas. Introduced in 2009, COMET is the energy industry’s first web-based execution platform that allows power and gas market participants to create an individual private market for each of their bilateral OTC transactions. The new appointments are in the Midwest, West, and Eastern regions.

Jim Storey has been appointed Midwest Regional Account Manager.  Jim comes to Trumarx with 20 years of energy experience, most recently with Genscape, where he was Vice President of North American Power. Prior to Genscape, Jim worked at Duke Energy Trading and Marketing where he created a partnership with 5 major trading firms to leverage electronic trading, forming the InterContinental Exchange (ICE) trading venture.

Kevin Krannawitter has been appointed Western Regional Account Manager.  Kevin comes to Trumarx with over 15 years of energy experience, most recently with Genscape, where he was Director of Sales for North America. Prior to Genscape, Kevin worked on the Power trading desk at Aquila with Account Management responsibilities for Kansas City Power & Light and Koch Industries.

Amanda Arcone has been appointed Eastern Regional Account Manager.  Amanda comes to Trumarx with 15 years of energy experience, most recently with Genscape, where she was Director of Client Services. Prior to Genscape, Amanda worked on the coal trading desk of PG&E Energy Trading and for American Metals & Coal International.

“We are pleased that the COMET electronic execution platform continues to enjoy significant growth in both number of participants and transaction volume,” said TruMarx President and Chief Executive Officer, Jon B. Olson. “We believe these experienced energy industry transactional specialists will add to our positive momentum as more North American gas and power industry transactors discover the efficiency, competitive advantages, and ease of regulatory reporting compliance provided by the COMET private electronic marketplace.”

COMET is 100% web based, with no software to download or install. There are no fixed software license fees. Modest fees based on the volume for executed-only transactions are assignable by the originator.
